"Perform, then, this one act of remembrance before this Day passes - Remember there is an army of defense and advance that never dies and never surrenders, but is increasingly recruited from the eternal sources of the American spirit and from the generations of American youth."
"To Make Men Free"
by Norman Rockwell (1943)
Amen, Mark.
a thought, prayer and thanks to the men and women in uniform who serve and to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to help keep us free and safe.

I just came from a local Memorial Day service (my daughter was playing in the high school marching band in attendance), and it was a great way to mark the day. From the color guards, to the speakers, and the music & singing, it powerfully brought home what this day is really about (and not Extra Crazy furniture sales or drunken barbecues).
