So....what's with that "Spidey Week" blurb I've had plastered in my sidebar for the last week or so?
Have I fallen under the hypnotic thrall of the Spider-Man 3 marketing machine?
Worse yet, am I one of the flying monkeys Sony's hired to incite Spider-Man 3 hysteria throughout the comics blog-o-topia?
Rest assured, as much as I'd love to spend Sony's cash, I thought the coming week would be as good a time as any to talk about Spider-Man, a character I'm quite fond of to say the least. Why devote a whole seven days of pixel space to one character? Kindly review this post's title for your answer.
Though this week's Spider-Man 3 opening is undeniably the "spark" that inspired me to spend so much quality time on ol' Webhead, I don't plan on talking too much about the movie. Yeah, I'll mention it here and there, and I'll probably post a review on Day Seven (next Saturday), but for the most part, I'll be jumping all over the place (much like Mr. Parker himself).
So, starting tomorrow, be sure to check in over the next seven days to see what's cooking in my little "Spidey Smorgasborg". If you've enjoyed the character even half as much as I have over the years, I think you'll have some fun.
Until then, how about some "appetizers"...courtesy of my archives?
I have just discovered your blog. It is a thing of beauty. And Hooray for Spider-Man Week!
