As both DC and Marvel Comics transition from one cosmos-shaking Mega-Event to another, it's important for comics fans everywhere to watch for the warning signs of Mega-Event Derangement Syndrome (or MEDS for short). Oy. I think I'm a victim. Is it just me, or has Marvel abandoned all respect for long-established storylines and characterizations in favor of MEGA SUPER EVENTS??

Well, GWS, the first step is recognizing you have a problem.
And, no, it's not just you. Marvel has abandoned alot of their rich tradition in favor of forced storylines and thinly-disguised political screeds.
