As bizarre and unbelievable as these crazy comic books can be, even more unbelievable is the fact that my daughter (our "first born") turns 16 years old today! Where's the time gone?
Well, in honor of Alyssa's "Sweet Sixteenth", I thought I'd "borrow" the classic cover of Action Comics #285 (1962) and wish her a Happy Birthday!
"Sixteen candles in my heart will glow
For ever and ever for I love you so...
from "Sixteen Candles" by The Crests (1958)
Awww, cute.
But can a 16-year-old survive this kind of bloggery?
Stay tuned! :)

No problem. She's Supergirl, after all!

DID YOU NOTICE THAT THE ARTIST MANAGED TO SECRETLY SIGN THAT SILVER AGE COVER?

Hey, great catch, Paul!
Curt Swan appears to have worked his first name ("Curtis") into the yellow sign to the right of Superman, and his last name into a pale yellow sign far in the background directly under Supergirl's right foot.
Clever, Mr. Swan. Very clever.
