In 1986, a Unitarian minister named Robert Fulghum published the touchy-feely classic All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. This collection of random sentimental musings became a publishing phenomenon, chief among them the title essay, in which Fulghum applied the simple morality learned in Kindergarten to adult life. Needless to say, it was a hit with New Age weenies and inner children everywhere.
